Area Events and Culture

Go. See. Do. Learn. Join. Relax. Enjoy!

Whatever you enjoy, you’ll find it here.

Each summer, the Cary Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department presents the “Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival,” one of the largest juried arts festivals in the Southeast. Nearby Jordan Lake provides 46,768 acres of fun and recreation. Boating, swimming, fishing, hiking, camping, picnicking, bald eagle watching, and educational events make it a popular destination for relaxation and adventure. Naturally.

Cary is justifiably proud of its more than 20 public parks and 20+ miles of greenways and trails. Faith is deeply valued here, too. Cary and the neighboring area are home to literally hundreds of houses of worship and every denomination.

In addition to everything SearStone and the Specialty Village and Clubhouse will offer you, below are more examples of the richness of Greater Cary’s local entertainment venues, sports teams and fields, country clubs and golf courses, outdoor activities, museums, visual arts, historic sites, shopping centers, kids’ activities, and visitor accommodations.

We’re pleased to say your available dining choices are too numerous to include here. When you don’t feel like dining at home or at one of the SearStone restaurants, rest assured that, whatever you crave – from fast-food to formal, all-American to ethnic, local favorites to favorite chains – you’ll be filled with satisfaction.
